Our Lady of Guadalupe Society is a religious association organized by Mexican-American Catholic women to provide leadership in social concerns and perform works of charity. The organization’s name derives from Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe, Patroness of the Americas. This society helps foster female development and leadership in the Catholic Church.

The society is made up of not only women but also men and in some cases entire families belong to the society. Still others become members due to a family devotion to Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe, including a tradition of family involvement in a society that has been passed from one generation to the next.
